Energy Made Visible, Book Cover, Podcast, Turning 40

Greetings dear ones~

Hope this message finds you well! I've got so much exciting news to share~ I'm having an.....

Art Show!

If you're in the SF Bay Area, I hope you can come and experience my work in person. It’s been nearly 20 years since I’ve had a show of my art, and I’m delighted to be sharing in a dream location, Heart Tribe, in my hometown of Fairfax, CA., from 9/28/18-10/28/18.

I started this series of paintings while studying with Flora Bowley in Portland, Oregon, at one of her magical & inspiring Bloom True workshops.  After years of painting small 8”x8” greeting card designs for my stationary business, it was thrilling to stand before a 36”x36” canvas and dive into a big ‘ol creative flow with my whole body! Flora’s gentle guidance, simple & evocative prompts, and her style of using fluid acrylic paints to build up layers & depth transformed my creative process.

Energy Made Visible explores the realms of dreams, intuition, and the invisible dimensions that interpenetrate the physical, everyday world of form. These large-scale layered acrylic paintings are windows into another realm of magic and dreams, where Ancestors, Spirits & Guides dance, beckoning us to explore the world behind the world...

If you’re in the SF Bay Area, I hope you can join me at Heart Tribe 9/28/18 for Fairfax Artwalk and on 10/11/18 for the Opening Soriee.

More info is HERE

If you're not in the area, you can view my work HERE. Originals and prints available for sale. I'll be updating my website with more paintings as we get closer to the date.

Book Cover

I’m over the moon to share this happy news~ My ancestral dream painting, The Amber Road, is featured on Robert Moss’ new book, Mysterious Realities: A Dream Traveler's Tales from the Imaginal Realm. The book is available for pre-order on Amazon. Robert Moss will be in the Bay Area for book signings, and if you are nearby, I'd love to invite you to join me at his book signing at Book Passage in Corte Madera.

Podcast Appearance

A few weeks ago I appeared on Robert Moss’ Way of the Dreamer radio show and we talked about how dreaming can inform & inspire creativity & we chat about his new book. Have a LISTEN & let me know what you think!

Web Design

My web design business, Dream Speak Design, has been humming along, and I recently had the good fortune of photographing and creating a website for Wu Wei Tea Temple in Fairfax. Wu Wei Tea Temple is an oasis of tantalizing teas, kava, bone broth, elixirs & Middle Eastern treats. This magical spot evokes the spirit of community & connection while showcasing musicians, storytellers, and artists on regular performance nights.
Check out the site HERE

If you or someone you know needs a new or refreshed website, I’m getting booked up for fall, but still have a few spots left  Please reach out~ I specialize in sites for Creatives, Healers & Entrepreneurs, and make process fun, creative & intuitive. Here's what the lovely owner of Wu Wei had to say about working with me:

“I highly recommend Tenaya. She is an incredible artist and creator. Her goal with our website was to translate the magic of what we do here into the online realm. Her execution was fast and flawless. She is a professional and she is such a gift to get to work with. Give yourself the gift of Tenaya and hire her for your next project!”

Turning 40 & New Love

On 8/18/18 I turned 40.. It feels big~ The 30’s have been a time of exponential growth and forward propulsion on my path as an artist, teacher, friend, dreamer, lover, business owner, designer... I’m thankful for all my 30’s brought and feel like I’ve jumped to a new octave. My intention and wish for my 40’s is to continue crafting a life of creativity, caring, connection while stretching and growing into new experiences & offering what I am here to give. I spent the day with some dear friends at Marin Art & Garden Center  sipping elderflower soda, and nibbling homemade pie and Vanilla Honey Lavender ice cream...mmm...

I've been spending time with this wonderful fellow & on my birthday we frolicked in the chilly waves at Stinson beach, adorned ourselves in seaweed, and ate a yummy Indian dinner at Arti’s.... 40 feels great so far!
